Has anyone tried ordering these empty tea bags and just adding your favorite coffee grounds to them?
I love my coffee and now my wheels are turning. I usually like the French press but I wouldn’t put one in my backpack. But putting my favorite fresh coffee grounds in these tea bags seems promising.

lol I haven’t tried it yet but i just ordered some bags to do it. I’m sure some grounds will escape the bag but nothing too crazy. Just gonna have to play with brew times and amount of grounds

I’ve had Starbucks and BRCC. Both are good, but the best I’ve had is from black coffee roasting co., located in Missoula. Not sure what they cost in comparison, but it’s good stuff.

Look up single use pour over filters on Amazon. I love good coffee and this a way to get it in the backcountry and not have to give money to Starbucks. Just dump the grounds out when you're done and throw them in the trash.

I use Readywise Trail Magic when I don't bring a little folding pour-over.
I prefer single resealable pouch over multiple small pieces of garbage. That and mil discount are probably bigger factors than taste for me, but it tastes acceptable.

I just buy a jar of instant coffee, usually Kroger store brand or Cafe Bustelo and pour some into a sandwich bag.

That way, no one can tell you're using the equivalent of six sticks per cup.

Alpine Start for me was a notch above Mount Hagen and is available on Amazon for less that $1/stick.

I vacuum sealed 2 cup portions of freshly ground BRCC just before I left and this worked great in my MSR stove with coffee press.

I tried these from Black Coffee Roasting Co and they’re definitely better than Via in my opinion.

I make dirty coffee so any stick brand works, Coffee, small scoop of cocoa, and a squirt of honey stinger honey and off to the elk races I go.

I got the Trader Joe’s instant coffee packs with creamer and sugar included based on others on the forum. They are good and will be bringing them with this next week.

Another "VIA is good enough" here. Carry on trips when weight is a tight thing.

When weight is loose at all, AeroPress Go, which is IMO easy to clean up.
