Info on trapper nelson pack

Can anybody tell me if the metal frame in the picture is associated with the trapper nelson pack? I received them together from a coworker. I know a bit about trapper nelson packs, but have never seen the metal frame before.

I have a Trapper Nelson as well and was able to get a few answers about mine from Johnn Tanner at [email protected]. Send him the photo as he knows all about these pack boards.

A couple photos of mine, a few stains but otherwise it's still in good shape. Looks like I have the deluxe model with the padded shoulder straps

Looks like they have taken down their website, it was 3 or 4 years ago we were corresponding. I also had these phone numbers 1 800 548 5484 and 360-403-0700. Not sure if they will work or not? believe he was the owner of Trager at the time anyway. I used to do a little taxidermy and did a very similar mount for a buddy. If I can find the pic, i'll post it.

That's kind of the idea I have as well, saw one with a goat coming out of the bag that was pretty cool too. I ran into a old timer that was packing out a moose with a Trapper Nelson and it really intrigued my interest.

To the original question, that metal frame doesn't look like anything Trapper Nelson to me and I've packed my share with them. It does look kind of familiar though, maybe like a Millet.
