Was driving my 10 year old F150 work truck last week & felt a spring clip break in the seat. The seat cushion was already worn out so I ordered a new cushion off Amazon. Took out the seat, fixed the spring with some HVAC zip ties & now the thing feels like I'm driving a new one. Only cost me $60 & about an hour of aggravation. Small victories are nice

Ford pickups for many years have used exactly the same bolt patterns for the seats. So, if someone rolls his King Ranch and the colors are right, the seats would fit right in your older rig. Have fun.

Getting fancy!

Bought a beater truck last year. They used bark to shim up the springs in the seat. Is it a bad idea if it works?

Brilliant!

I worked at a shit box private ambulance service years ago.
The “mechanic” used to save the old brake pads and used them to hold things together.
His famous one was to weld a brake pad or 2, to put the rear bumpers back on.
