Savage, have you ever compared your custom fitted Pentax 12mm to the Nikon MC II 27 fixed power?

Not directly. Is that 27x on the ED50? If so, that's more magnification than I want. I was going for about 20x and ended up with 17 using the Pentax eyepiece, which is fine with me considering how wide the field of view is, how bright it is, and how sharp it is across the field.
