Dude killed two monsters last year, 1 in muzzy and 1 late (gov tag) and they both came from quad quad unit bubby
governor tag was not 44, watched it go down from my house. was a yard buck that made a bad mistake that day...but keep believing 44 is the only place where the big daddy bucks are bubby

So you have pics of him in your yard? I’d love to see them. I had it on good authority he came from 44 from private, was he in 45 on private though? Ps I don’t think 44 is the only place big daddy bucks are. Know of a 220 gross buck that was dropped in a 0 point unit last year and a 212 that went down last week in a single digit point unit. I do know there are some monsters that hang in the neighborhoods of Avon, Edward’s, eagle gypsum etc… buddy of mine lives in star ranch and is always sending me vids of the neighborhood baddies

Just got back from 44!

Heck of a fun hunt! I was unable to locate the absolute giants that 44 can produce but saw well over 100 4pt bucks in the scouting days and 4 days of hunting before i decided to take this buck. I was able to stalk and pass on several bucks that I would never pass on most hunts including a cool buck that double cheaters on each side. Had him less than 50 yards with my bow in hand. But it was the first day and decided to hold off.

had about 8-10” of snow on Tues before opening day and cold temps come Wed with clear sky’s (minus 6 when we parked the truck) which led to an unreal opening day. Saw bucks breeding does, a full on butt kicking the buck I shot put on that Cheater buck and all sorts of rutting action. A day I will never forget.

The temps then sky rocketed the following days and really slowed things down. On Saturday my fourth day out of the five day season i decided to find the best buck we could and pull out the gun.

Thanks to all those that helped and especially to my two great buddies who gave up their time to help me!

What a ride.

Missed my pops being there but he was my first call when we walked up to him!

Thanks again!

Cody

26.5 wide
Almost 26 beams
High 30’s in mass

Rough scored him around 184-185. When we walked up on him, He was better than I thought which was a nice surprise!
