My sons set up. He is 8 so everything is heavy to him. But I went with it for the adjustability factor so he can grow with it.
Tikka 6.5CM, barrel shortened to 18”

Problem I have with my kids is I buy them a light rifle then they can't carry it because their pack is full of "cool rocks". Some the size of an Idaho potato

Certainly not a sheep hunting setup but for antelope, coues deer, and eastern whitetail the weight is alright with me. The gun with scope, bipod, and suppressor on it comes in at 14.5# so it's a bit of a tank but happens to be the lightest rifle I own for now.
