Image Stabilized Spotting Scope

I just saw a clip on Facebook about sig introducing a new stabilizing spotter, but I can’t find anything since that clip. Not sure if they weren’t supposed to publicly talk about it yet or what.

I saw the latest from SIG at a recent show, but didn't spend much time with it.

SIG had other image stabilized spotters a few years ago. IIRC, they were all compact designs.

Yeah, I know they had IS spotter few years ago.

How was the one at the show?

It was at the end of the day, and I knew they were wrapping up, so I didn't put it on a tripod. I tried it handheld but wasn't that impressed. I don't know if it was a production unit or prototype.

Once they hit stores, I'll check it out again.

This tech is ancient and honestly useless for a spotter. If you’re glassing from a running vehicle or handholding and don’t need 45-60x magnification the canon 18x50 IS absolutely smokes this.

Even the chicom junk Sigs are more useful honestly and they suuuuuuuck.

I'm not sure I'll replace my Zulu6 with this. Looks great but need the spotter on a tripod for long periods of glassing anyways so I'm not sure how much this adds.
