There are people shooting lighter bullets in 300prc. I know one guy who is shooting 178gr eldx from a 20" 1:9 300prc with ADG brass, h4831 (not SC), and fed 215 Match. He had stiff bolt at 3214fps at 82.5gr. 78.9gr was 3017fps. This is for reference only from his barrel. Work up your load carefully.

People will argue for a 300wm at that point but I'd still go 300prc.

Well it's coming along extremely slowly but for now she's going to be a 7prc in a 20" carbon 6 barrel. Now for a brake, 2 stage trigger and I'm still deciding on a stock. Either an xlr chassis or see if the new rokstock is tempting enough to go that route. Thanks for all the input fellers

Yep sure did. Kinda wish I would've gone a little longer to keep some of the extra speed but the more I crunch numbers the more I don't really care.

Looks very similar to what I ended up with. An Origin and a proof barrel in 300prc. Waiting on my McMillian to be completed. All in lefty as well. I would have done a 7prc but I have a lovely 280ai that's close enough to 7prc numbers to me.

Will do. Was close to buying a seekins but I couldn't find everything I wanted in one package in left hand. This will only be my second left hand rifle but I've become stubborn on getting what I want as I get older! I'll post it up when I'm done.... whenever they decide to build my stock. Sorry to derail.
