7 SAUM. Lone peak medium length action, 24” Bartlein 3b or new carbon #4 8 twist. Benchmark stock. TT diamond trigger.

That is similar in style to my current setup, except for I’m running a BAT Melanite action, McMillan, and Jewel trigger. Really like the 7 SAUM!

I’ve built a few and have a few more I had built. But if it came down to 1, it would be this crazy Tikka Superlite in .308. Bone stock, nothing has ever fit me better. When pressed about its position in my fleet, the words “cold dead hands” come to mind.

Don Allen era Dakota 76 in left hand chambered in 300 h&h. Put a fancy wood stock on it with an ebony tip and case colored trigger guard. If I can only own one, may as well get something unique.

I just picked up a Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather SS in .30-06. It is my only rifle. Wanted a versatile hunting rifle that I'd be able to grow and evolve with that would outlast me, wouldn't break the back but wasn't cheap, that's also quality and I'd be proud proud to own.

I'm a less is more type person and would rather just own one workhorse and spend more time outside learning the craft.

Likely either an MOA carbon badlands in 300 Win, a Gunwerks Clymer in 7 SAUM, or a GA Precision xtreme Hunter in 6.5 GAP 4S. I'd likely top it with either a Leupold Mark 5HD 3-18x44 or a Nightforce NX8 2.5-20x50. Incredible amount of green tied up in any of those setups, but they'd last lifetimes.

After selling both my Tikkas, I'm down to just one centerfire rifle - a Howa mini action .223. I've been shooting it a whole ton and am more confident with it than any other rifle. In a survival scenario I'd probably pick it over anything else. For all-around hunting use, I'd choose a short action 308-based caliber rifle.
