Nah, just mainly out west and anywhere near major urban areas. Plenty of places still where you can find a reasonable 3bd/2ba house for under $250kThat's literally anywhere in the lower 48 now... ugh

I lived in Roswell for four years (98-02) and it was a very conservative farming and ranching area that I couldn't tell apart from Lubbock or Odessa to be honest. It was just closer to the mountains.I’m in New Mexico and while we enjoy the public land. The health care here is like 48th in the country with education like 50th.
Also Albuquerque and Sante Fe control the vote with the population. Very blue state. Been tough coming from Texas
That's on my short list of places to go visit with the wife (again). Not sure I could deal with the lack of places to fish however.I’m looking more and more towards Western South Dakota
Are you suggesting the midwest doesn't have shitty ass winters? I agree with the rest of your points.I’d stay in the Midwest where the cost of living is cheap, the deer are plentiful and you won’t deal with overcrowded trail heads and relatively short bow seasons.
I know it’s the cool thing to move west but most guys I know who do end up driving hours to their hunting spots regardless, hunt less, and then deal with shitty ass winters.
With the way populations and tag alotments are going, it won’t be long before westerners are heading east to hunt white tails because they can actually get tags for it
Dude, I'm in Michigan and I can't wait to get out of this state because of the winters. Are you suggesting the midwest doesn't have shitty ass winters? I agree with the rest of your points.
After spending 6 years in southern IL, I doubt I'll ever live anywhere with such useless winters. Too cold to enjoy yourself doing basically anything, but not cold enough to give you ice fishing, x-country skiing or hockey or downhill skiing. Useless. I'll either live north or south of that zone from now on.
Uhh, she looks like a triggered horse woman to me. No thanks.I drive out to Pierre a few times a year. The fishing is FANTASTIC there. SD is ok with me and they have wonder woman for a governor

Yea, Michigan winters are special alright. About as special as our summers.Dude, I'm in Michigan and I can't wait to get out of this state because of the winters.
we've got you....Uhh, she looks like a triggered horse woman to me. No thanks.
I'd only be interested in the black hills area, which is quite a ways from Pierre. But the fishing opportunities around Pierre do look very appealing. I was through that area last year and it was pretty.Pierre, SD is literally the capital of fishing in the state with the mossouri river dam https://midwestliprippers.com/2021/02/06/planning-your-fishing-trip-to-pierre/
The steaks are cooked well and fresh at cattlemans.. Pierre is near heaven to me https://cattlemansclubpierre.m.takeout7.com/restaurant-menu
That Myril Arch I'm sure he's dead now but my goodness that man knew how to cut and cook a steak.
Here we go.. American legend as far as cattlemen go https://www.capjournal.com/obituari...cle_72e615a4-d95c-11e2-a4dd-001a4bcf887a.html
Now you have to pay a fee to just look at his obituary...
huh?we've got you....

I come from a long line of horse women. Haven't met a rational one yet.Got you just means we understand where you're coming from..it's an old 1970 thing
It is a oil boom town now. With meth and ex-cons.I lived in Roswell for four years (98-02) and it was a very conservative farming and ranching area that I couldn't tell apart from Lubbock or Odessa to be honest. It was just closer to the mountains.
Man I hated those winters in that area. The "great gray dome" would move in around late October and stay until May. 40 degrees and raining was pretty much the forecast for 5 months. Yuk.Lol that’s my kind of winter my man… I’m in southern Indiana
I was just there last year. It hasn't changed much from what I could see. Same old Roswell. Now Artesia and Carlsbad... wow. No thanks! It is a oil boom town now. With meth and ex-cons.
