As the title says, money isn't an option here, if you could build a "do all" hunting rifle (pronghorn, deer, elk, moose, black bear, etc) what are you building?

- Cartridge
- Action
- Barrel/specs of barrel
- Trigger
- Scope
- Mount/rings
- Suppressor/brake/bare muzzle
- Stock
- Bottom Metal

I'm really interested in seeing what people say.

-7mm08AI
-Blueprinted Kimber SS LW action
-1:8” twist top shelf, stress relieved (cryo’d) premium barrel (Krieger, Criterion, Hart, etc) LW profile, threaded
-Airlock 7mm titanium suppressor
-Timney 2 stage
-LW carbon fiber rokstock style for to my cheek weld for scope height
-Premium Titanium scope rings
-Maven RS 1.2 in Mils

I pretty much did.

-6.5cdm
-M77
-16" (stock)
-Stock
-Maven Rs.1
-Ruger
-MG7k .30cal
-Stock (Walnut)
-Stock

The only thing I intend to change is eventually I will form 1 a lighter weight, reflex style can sized to match caliber and direct thread. This will be my go-to for all big game.m77.jpeg

MRC Marshall, or similar custom build chambered in a hot 6mm magnum. 16” or 18” barrel,

I purchased mine. Christensen classic in 30-06 with a VX3 cds with windplex reticle and custom turret for 180gr Accubonds for multiple altitudes. I've built many rifles over the years but that's the easy button for me. Range guns are totally different, they need all the bells and whistles to make you feel good, but a simple 30-06 is all I need to hunt with.

Already did it:
- .243 Winchester
- Tikka T3X stainless steel
- TIKKA 20” stainless steel, 1:8” twist, factory threaded
- Tikka trigger
- SWFA 6x mil-quad (upgrade to the ZeroTech S2H 3-18x44 when available)
- UM Tikka low rings
- US OG 6.5 or Airlock ZG 6.5 (replace with US OG 6mm prototype from Black Friday sale when it arrives)
- Fancy wooden RokStok
- PR Precision stainless steel bottom metal (winter trigger)
- Waters Rifleman magazines

That specific rifle is getting QD cups installed on it right now, but here is the previous 6.5 CM iteration (with AB Raptor 8). I sold the 6.5 CM barreled action and bottom metal to another Rokslider and dropped in the new .243 and the PR Precision winter bottom metal.

25 PRC
Winchester model 70 action (pre or post 64 as long as it’s CRF)
1-7.5 twist 20” Proof carbon barrel
Timney MOA trigger
RS 1.2 on Talley bases and Talley 30mm color case rings
Unknown OG L 6.5 can
SRS Trinity rail
All assembled and bedded in a tan with black webbing B&C M40 stock with the action, hinge floor plate bottom metal & the barrel cerekoted.

Id love to shoot a Blue Mountain Precision OL' BRoomer in 280 AI.

Gunwerks Clymr in 280 AI if you trade stocks like Pelosi.
Seekins PH3, in 6.5 PRC for under 2k budget.
Under 1k budget Tikka T3x Superlight Gen 2 7 PRC from Sportsmans at 899.99.

EDIT: Theres a reason Gunwerks are very popular with guys that dont have budgets. One stop shop.

Bought it off the shelf at Long's Drug, Glenwood Springs CO, 1987. Winchester Ranger 270win. 22" barrel, 3-9x50 leupold, 22" barrel, birchh stock, no bottom metal. Only problem is its heavy. Killed one bull elk, couple cow elk, fox, coyote, couple bears, several deer, Bighorn sheep, mountain goat, and probably some stuff I forgot.
Dream rifle? Probably not, but when in doubt it is the one to take.

28 nosler
Defiance AntiX LA
Preferred CF 1:8 20 in long
Trigger tech trigger
Stocky stock
ADG brass
175 Berger elite hunter
Gemrtech subpressor

After building too many, loving some, hating some, I think shooting Tikka or Rem 700 sitting in a Mcmillan is all I ever needed. I'd have a Nightforce on any of them. This is my current one but I could see restocking a 40 year old low mileage 700 and calling it good.
A series action 700
Benchmark 8 twist #2 barrel at 23
6.5-284
Mcmillan ADL classic
Nightforce ATACR 4-16.
156 EOL doing 2,870 fps

Cartridge: 6 PRC
Action: Tikka T3x w/ UM lightening, nitride, and Preece Precision true
Barrel: Proof Sendero 18” blank chambered by Preece Precision
Trigger: Tikka w/ Preece Precision spring/tune
Scope: NX8 2.5-20x50 FFP
Rings: UM
Suppressor: Airlock ZG
Stock: McMillan MTN Tracker LR (Forged Raw Carbon)

Also quite satisfied with my custom Seekins Slam!
