Been wanting to upgrade my puffy to something less bulky than my Sitka Kelvin Lite Hoody while maintaining or improving warmth.
I have narrowed it down to either the Stone Glacier Grumman or Grumman Lite.
I will be archery elk hunting in Colorado in mid-to-late September this year, but this would generally be used for September hunts throughout the western mountain states.
I currently run a Sitka Ambient as my active insulation layer. My thought is that the Ambient layered under the Grumman Lite should be plenty for time around camp and glassing on colder mornings.
My main concern is that I cannot find much feedback on how well the Grumman Lite handles the colder mountain conditions that can show up in late September compared to the Grumman which everyone loves.
For those who have used both, would you go with the Grumman Lite for this application, or is the added warmth of the standard Grumman worth the extra cost and bulk?
