First I wanted to say I have reached out and this has been approved by Rokslide moderators. @robby denning @Ryan Avery
Hi all, my name is Kyle Maki and I am the Sporting Partnerships and Policy Manager of the Idaho Wildlife Federation. IWF is a 501c3 that works to build a connected community of sportsmen and women (organizations and individuals) across the state, as well as advocate for sporting and conservation issues.
I wanted to let you all know that IWF is hosting our first two wild game cook off events this year with the plan to make them annual going forward. The goal is to make them a community oriented and family friendly event that builds connectivity within the Idaho's sporting community while providing a good introduction to our lifestyle to non hunters.
The first will be at Expo Idaho in Boise on June 20th and the second at North Idaho Archery in Coeur d'Alene on August 1st. Right now we are signing up teams and would love to see you there! Cook teams can consist of up to 4 adult members who will submit their dish to be judged and prizes will be awarded for the top three teams.
While we'll have tickets and sponsors (no cost to attend for cook teams!), this isn't going to be the kind of event where we're doing a bunch of raffles, auctions, and speeches - it's designed to be community oriented with live music and a good atmosphere.
More details can be found on our website: https://idahowildlife.org/wild-game-cook-off
Hopefully we see some Roksliders there since I know some of you can really cook! If you have any questions, please ask away!
