Call the regional office before you go and ask who can check bears on weekends. Sometimes they allow sporting goods stores to collect the tooth sample and harvest report for them.

That’s a great idea, I think I will do that and extend my hunt another day. Thanks

Got one bait out yesterday and checked on a bear den that was occupied this winter. Mr bear wasn’t in there.

My co worker hiked a trail yesterday. He lost count after counting 800 logs down over the trail with a clicker.

A lot of these trees up here down are off spring of the 1910’s and 1920’s fires. It isn’t pretty. I’ve only been on one trail this year that wasn’t hammered somehow.
