Wednesday the 12th was my first attempt at getting an Idaho Sawtooth B tag, and was lucky enough to get one before sellout. Should be hunting just West of Stanley, but have spent little time in 36... Any other B tag first timers? Good luck!

Did you grab the tag online or in person? I also grabbed a B tag this year. Struck out in person but got lucky enough to grab one online. It’s pretty overwhelming looking at all the possible spots to hit up. I expect October to be pretty tough in the post rut, until the snow gets them moving. Good luck.

This will be my first attempt at the area. I was lucky enough to get one of the few Sawtooth B tags that were in the returned pool a couple days ago.

I’ll be hunting Diamondcreek in September.

Good luck! Got an A tag over in Island Park with a buddy. Can't wait to get out there. Will likely see more humans than elk, but certainly better than the office!

not a sawtooth, nor the area i am familiar with but was able to land a beaverhead tag. Looking forward to it. Lots of access that i am not used to but i have flagged at least 2 dozen areas to check out so far.

We got sawtooth B tags again this year. Been hunting that area for numerous times and has always treated us good. We filled 3 of 5 tags last year plus a good bonus Muley. Could have gone 5/5 on bulls last year. Be smart and don’t hunt around an obviously populated areas or you’ll staring at a lot of other hunters and no so many critters.

That tag system is a mess. I was fortunate to grab a Tex Creek A tag but boy was it stressful. I thought in person was almost guaranteed but guess I’m wrong

I wonder how many people made the trip and could not get a tag. The best bet is probably to pay a resident to buy the tag(s) for you.

That would be a crappy feeling if you flew out there and didn’t get the tag! Wonder what time you have to get in line? Like Black Friday all over again

Some people camped several days in the parking lot at IDFG regional offices. Standing in line outside all night was more common.

A guy from PA and his buddies camped for numerous days out front the IDFG office. I’m kinda shocked that that’s even allowed.
