I won't complain. Maybe if we continue getting more grizzly bear attacks, more will get killed. (It's worth it as long as no human life is taken)

Same man! I may not get one of my top 10 tags, but I can get “a tag” that allows me to go hunt if I dont have something else going on in another state. This year I already have a solid plan elsewhere so I passed on ID when my top 7 units were sold out by the time I got in. But I still could have got something to go get after. Last year panned out pretty well with a higher que number than I had this year….View attachment 806566

It's my understanding that the numbers are not sequential; that even though you may have number 100, doesn't mean there are 99 people in front of you. Instead, the system randomly assigns you a place in line, and the system generates a number that holds your place in line in case you navigate away from the page. Lower is better, but doesnt guarantee that you'll get the tag. That's why the math never works out that you can be number 1000 or so, but thousands of tags have already sold by the time you get to log in.

You have an incorrect understanding, if you are number 100 there are indeed 99 other spots being held in line in front of you. People are let into the “virtual store” to buy their tags in order from 1 through infinity until nobody wants in anymore. The reason you can be number 1000 in line and have 1000’s of tags already sold is the in person and telephone sales that are happening faster than online sales

Had that happen last year, much lower number, got back in and was like 45k+, don't bother emailing them about it. They will blame your device, your internet, you. Then tell you that you're SOL.
They told me "were you on an iphone, yeah well we saw that happen with the newest IOS update, that was the problem...
I said "i haven't done an IOS update in years"
"Well...I don't know what to tell you"

Registered to say this, I did call and email. Finally got a call back today asking what I was trying to purchase and was told they hope to have resolutions by Friday. I was 49th in line at the drop and the site crashed when it was my turn to go. Talk about a heart breaker.

Thanks! One of my buddies moved to Island Park and is now a Fremont County Deputy so I have access to a truck and a place to stay. Feels like the ultimate luxury.

I have only been once before and had many opportunities but never sealed the deal. I have had nightmares about it every since.

First 300 out of the queue and 300 DAV elk tags were gone. Hmm

my guy! I had to zoom in your profile pick, we grew up together.

I drove to a shop in Idaho was 7 in line and was on the clock at like 13 minutes after and 0 DAV tags were left.......

IDFG is the best....thats cool they did that.

Many years ago Arizona lost a pile of mail in applications- found them after the draw...and mine with more than enough PP to draw was one of them. They told me to pound sand.
