Personally, I like the fact that with the buddy-buy tactic, nonres that hunt and share camp with residents have an advantage. It might not be fair, but it's much better than the greenhorn nonres buying tags they know nothing about and without doing any research. Those guys should be going with an outfitter, in my opinion.
Like I said....I WANT to compete with the "greenhorn" that can't figure out how to get a tag without some help and that has likely never stepped foot in the unit. That's MUCH better for me than the NR hunting with a local that possibly knows the area as well as I do, has all the logistical support he needs at hand, and is more likely to kill a bull that one of my local buddies or I wants to kill.
I fully realize it's self-serving and I'm admitting as much. Then again, 99% of the people suggesting changes on this thread are doing exactly the same thing. I don't see anyone arguing to make it MORE difficult for themselves. If they are, then they have a legitimate bone to pick with me I guess.
