I'd rather a fair crap shoot on what number in line I am than buying points. I completely agree with you.

if one person from a party gets 100th in line, but another person gets say 10,000th in line, how are you able to hunt together the way it is now? seems like it's harder to hunt as a group unless I'm missing something on how to buy tags for others in a party once you get logged in?

As of now I'm designated caller and meat hauler, that's how I'll hunt with my buddy. And hope someone else isn't willing to do that and turns a tag back in!!!

What a shit show. For elk I found a herd in Bear River unit on my last evening. It was 3 miles away and not enough light to get to them. Never going to hunt there again so send me a PM if you want the location. Sucks that Idaho Fish and Game is such a joke.
