I remember buying my tag 2 years ago in June. Last year I went in on the 3rd of December and tags are gone. This year I get in the waiting room right when it opens and still end up 3,xxx in line. I love hunting Idaho. At least it isn't a lottery or preference point system. I go and scout and hike for a week with a bear and wolf tag if I don't get an Elk tag. At least I can contribute in some way.

I was #488 and it still wouldn't let me add an elk tag! I bought the deer tag in hopes that it would keep you in the website like last year but I got kicked to the back of the line. Looks like no elk for me.
