I hate Colorado because......

How quickly the same folks (certainly not the demographic on here) went from adoration to hatred for Californians was amusing, even if I didn't like the end result.

Some of us don't discriminate. We dislike any actions and ideologies that puts our rights, freedoms, and liberties at risk. Too many people have willingly given their lives to protect these wonderful attributes. There are way too many people in this country that would rather just throw all those things away. And it's not just infecting Colorado.....it's in every state. That's not very amusing, it's disturbing and disgusting.

Alright, alright. I mean I even said I didn't like the end result. Let's not let my amusement at some ski bums take this into another explicitly political thread. I take the values you've mentioned quite seriously, and don't think I implied I didn't, but if it read that way my apologies.

Back to the main topic, I agree with Bonedalien:

If your lucky enough to live in Colorado, your lucky enough

Now if the Rockies would stop being so terrible it would really help me out. I miss Coors Field.

You never mentioned ski bums before this post. And personally, I don't find this to be a political topic at all. When folks "intentionally" attack our rights, liberties, and freedoms, that has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with being under attack.

Man I've been seriously contemplating a move to Colorado, but being born and raised in Northern California it sounds like I definitely wouldn't be welcomed in Colorado haha! But in all seriousness I want to get the hell out of here and I'm looking at Colorado and Idaho. I've been to Idaho and hunted there and liked it. Never been to Colorado but had family that lived in Dolores and loved it. So Colorado or Idaho?

Redding, I too am born and raised in NorCal. I've been looking real hard at moving to Idaho myself. It's funny how when you go hunting the locals give you that "look" for being from CA..I've never had any unpleasant experiences aside from that.

Raised my kids here since 2004, did a brief stint in the late 1990s of 4 years too. Killed elk, mule deer, whitetail, antelope, black bear, bighorn sheep($150 tag at the time), moose and mtn goat. Have caught crappie, smallmouth, largemouth, walleye, brown trout, brook trout, splake, cutthroat, rainbows, and lake trout.

Kids love the mountains, got great educations, and hoping they move back in state after college years are done. I live in a small town about 20 miles outside of Denver and built a new home last year on 5 acres. Lot of nice places to live, I think Colorado is one of them.

I love catching 20 inch rainbows (while sharing the run with 6 other fisherman). I love hiking the mountains (as long as I get to the parking lot before 7 a.m., otherwise I park a quarter mile down the road). I love chasing elk in September (but I lie to everyone for fear of revealing and ruining my spots). I love powder days (as long as I leave denver by 5 a.m. and return before 3 p.m. to avoid the I70 log jam) And let's not forget the close access...all of this within an hour of Denver (to justify my CHEAP $1500/month apartment rent)
