Hybrid Bow sight that isnt over engineered?

I have a Mountain Lite that I'm really happy with. It seems that the Ascent and the Mountain Lite are nearly identical except the mount is slightly different (X-frame vs. compact base). Is there any other difference?

Not sure if it's different but the MT Lite has a section of plastic in the frame. Maybe that's why it's lighter. Buddies snapped in half on the first day of a remote hunt when he missed his bow hook and it hit the dirt so don't do that.
