Huron v CRS.1

Hey all. I’m looking for a sub-$500 scope to put on my son’s 6.5CM. I’m stuck between the Huron and CRS.1 3x13’s. I know the Huron did well in the drop test, but couldn’t find anything on the CRS.1 (the Maven’s seem to be a mixed bag).

I’m looking for something simple but will last him.

Honestly, with the price of the Huron's now, why even bother with the Maven? Unless you're a brand loyalist, just snag the Trij and hammer down.

Makes sense. I’ve used several Tijicon red dots on pistols and have been happy with them. But I know there are those who really like Maven.

I just bought a Huron 3-9x40 (simple duplex) for a loaner rifle and so far I'm liking it.

I have the 3-9 Huron on my 35 whelen primitive rifle and like the scope just haven't been able to keep it from moving in the rings.
