It would be interesting to see and discuss the hunting boats people are using for float hunts or fishing trips.

I acquired a quad tube AIRE Cougar last season for moose and caribou hunts this year. Should carry weight better in shallow creeks better than my v-hull Zodiac style inflatable. I recently pulled the bladders to clean all the silt and sand out of the tubes and patched a small leak and cleaned the leaking valve.

It came with an outboard transom so I am searching for a ~10 hp 2-stroke for scooting across lakes. Might fashion a planing surface for the bottom of the frame.

That cat will hold plenty of weight, nice rig! 18 foot? HDPE rail racks are a game changer for moving around and attaching gear

I've only used mine for hunting access a handful of times, but fish off it regularly. Not great pics, but you get the idea. The first one is set up for whitewater day trips and second was outfitted for a 6 day Cataract Canyon run.

Nice, is that an Otter?

Took me too long to figure out if that was a child or a doll :D.

Yep 18'. Now to find as many HDPE scraps as I can as those sheets are wildly expensive. Last year we built a skid for pulling equipment behind a dozer through the mountains and we spent a small fortune in plastic. Super excited to start getting some floats in now that the rivers have broken up.

Yup 14' Otter. Treat em well and they will last forever. She's 12yo and looks brand new, 303d twice a year. Don't ask about the doll 🤣
