Hunting partner that snores??

This is the truth. I haven't hunted with anyone that snores in a long time, but family trips and stuff, woofta. My dad's side of the family is infamous for house rattling snoring.
You don’t remember coyote hunting with Wagner when I slept outside the tent when it was single digits?

I was that guy, and still can be if I dont have my CPAP. I would highly suggest to your buddy that he gets a sleep study done if at all possible. CPAP changed my life.

Sucks having to pack a battery pack and solar charger to keep it charged when tent camping, but more than worth it.

A New Orleans staple. On our way to Chama, there is an Exxon in Amarillo we stop at to get gas. They have a Burger King AND a Popeye's!!. Best of the best right there.
I shouldn't have said he doesnt eat it. More like we don't have one within several hours, so not something regularly consumed. I love me some good Popeyes.

Yea, their quality has fallen quite a bit since Al Copeland started the franchise. But, if you want a good case of heartburn and triple your cholesterol numbers, there is no better place.

I’m that asshole that snores ridiculously loud, according to everyone who has had the pleasure of hearing it. I’ve noticed sleeping slightly reclined/elevated versus flat helps a lot. I usually slide my hunting pack under my sleeping pad at night and it helps keep the snoring down when my head and chest are elevated.

Do like Patrick Macmanus suggested and right as everyone gets quiet, say ‘did you guys hear that noise outside?’. Then go to sleep while they listen for bears.

Alternatively suggest that he lose weight and see if that reduces the snoring. It helped me a ton.

I bet one of them sex wedge pillows would work good. Might get you some sideways looks from your buddies.

When people say their friend snores bad and falls asleep fast, it starts to look like sleep apnea. People with sleep apnea have very unrestful sleep and develop a bad sleep deficit. That’s why they fall asleep quickly or unintentionally.

I always insist on separate tents , cabin or rooms on hunting and fishing trips. I snore and make a crappy roommate. I don’t want to hear the other party bitching about it or waking me up to tell me I am snoring. If I can’t make arrangements like this I do something else. Other than that I’m told I am a good time to be around and a reliable hunting and fishing partner. Plus I can cook.
