Hunting in National Parks

Here in N. VA we have an extreme abundance of whitetail deer. There are county driven programs that allow hunters to hunt in the local parks. IBEP trained, accuracy standards, designated hunter parking areas, designated hunt areas, protocols for removing killed animals, reporting requirements for missed and made shots. Its a lot of hoops to jump through, but if you wanna kill whitetails, you can kill as many as you want.

I said all that to say, its not hard to get people hunting in parks that are remaining in use for the general public
Sounds like a better use of department dollars than hiring sharp shooters.

I find myself questioning if this will be used in conjunction with opening up wilderness areas to mining and for profit, venture capitalist exploits that don’t give a rats ass about our hillbilly hunting hobbies. Out of the way redneck, there’s money to be made and Ferraris to be purchased in the name of “progress”.

I see the carrot. Where’s the stick ?
