I have two listed with zero interest. It supports my concept that people like complaining that X doesn't exist, when it has existed already in multiple forms without being a winner to the manufacturer, it still does exist in at least two new forms but still without popularity, and there's an outstanding chance that most people clamoring for the perfect "Rokslide" scope would find some minute reason to thank the appeasing manufacturer for their efforts by not buying... "it's 24oz, I wanted 22oz", or "the elevation turret doesn't lock", or "the _____ part of the reticle is/isn't illuminated", etc.

There are plenty of new and used options on the market right now that satisfy all of the reasonable needs of 100% of hunters that prioritize reliability.
Just out of interest, what did you replace the LRTS / LRHS scopes with?

I second the notion that they need to expand the NX line with something in the 4-6 range. I think it would resolve the tight parallax range and improve the optical system. I own and really like an NX8 but would like it more if it was more forgiving optically. That and please make a simple reticle. I have put swfa's on most my rifles now and very much prefer that reticle.

On the two rifles I have/will hunt with this year are a 6x swfa with zero stop shims and a vinyl cap tapped in place of the windage turret, and an SHV f1.

I did sell one LRTS, the other is on @KickinNDishin 's rifle. They are great scopes, I genuinely believe I could do a whole lot with that 6x.

Oh lordy. Sadly those scopes can be proven more reliable than your Vortex with less than ten minutes testing of each.

Perhaps not coincidentally the same Vortex you used to wound/lose a deer last year, wound/lose an elk this year, need multiple shots on a deer this year... (insert smiley face guy with his hand on his chin like he did some thought stuff)

Blame the Indian not the arrow! 😜

That deer was dead on his feet, but 30 yards from private, he got another one. Can’t complain about those 2 shots!0BC9E623-3739-4B40-8365-292778421921.jpeg

Quite possibly could be the arrow if that scope is shifting.
Vortex haters….here are some more pictures of vortex haters (the animals, not the family!)

Your implied statement is the Vortex is reliable and repeatable. Would you stand by that statement to the group here? Or will you only stand by your particular scope?

I can’t speak for all scopes but so far so good on mine! It rode around on my rzr for 77 miles on some god awful roads during elk season. Rocky and bumpy would be an understatement. Confirmed zero and it was still on. It hasn’t shifted in 2 years, which includes 9 hunts, plus all the range trips, etc. Plenty of falls, bumps, bruises, etc. Maybe I got lucky… I am looking at a nightforce to put on a 300 norma in the near future though.

Add in the misses and it's a 25% failure rate :)
I guess if you’re going to blame every miss on a scope, then you’re right. Doesn’t seem logical but I’ve read some weird stuff on rokslide…I wounded a bull at 29 yards with my bow this year, right after beating the club champion on the 3-d course. I guess I should ditch my spot hogg because it’s unreliable!

I don’t hate vortex at all. I still use their neoprene scope covers.

The issue I have was that before every season I would re-zero my rifle. Before really taking a deep dive into it I just operated under the assumption that you needed to do that with any optic.

I took a fall with a razor one year during elk season and when I checked zero later that day it was off a inch and a half right.

Now that I run Nightforce, Swfa, and one Trijicon credo I still check zero but it’s just a habit. It also gives me more confidence in taking the shot I’ll work so hard to put myself into position to take.
