Hoyt stabilizer placement

With options to put a stabilizer either is regular spot, or how comes from the factory with the stubby stab at the lower limb pocket, how are guys running their stabilizer position?

I don't think I am a good enough shot to really tell the difference...I've tried a few configurations (long stab vs stubby, and upper or lower position) and not sure I can tell...why did Hoyt move the stab to this lower position?
