That's like saying why didn't Bowtech make their flex compatible with the standard cable guard when they first came out.

Why go through twice the work when you can start from scratch. Sometimes it's better to start with a clean slate with a new product

Not to mention it would change the cable specs and then everyone would be complaining they can't get their bows in spec

Call me crazy but I might switch things up a little .

Never shot an actual IBO equivalent weight arrow for a hunting setup. Hmmmmm ! This one at 28/74# at that speed, WOW !!!! Might have to stretch out the slider sight with this one to see how much travel I get . Tuned up great with the Easton DaTorch 330's at a total arrow weight of 371 grains at a blistering 334-335 fps

Wow is right! Finally got the turbo today and it is awesome! The shop I bought it from built strings for it and had it timed and tuned when I showed up today. I threw about 15 arrows through it and set the peep. Shot BS and fletched perfect through paper and bareshaft and fletched were touching at 20. The shop built my string 1/2" long to get me the proper draw length without having to pull the grip off. 74lb 30.5" draw 535 gr arrow at 285 fps

They did really well with the Turbos. I've shot Hoyts forever and I think they normally do well, but man, the Turbos are just awesome. I've got a CST ZT and it surpassed my expectations. I don't feel the valley is as forgiving, but it's manageable for sure. After that, the bow does what it's supposed to do when the shot goes off...it hits the spot and it gets there fast. Very pleased with the Turbo.

I'm also thinking of going with a lighter arrow than I normally do, but just for deer. For goat and moose, I'll still use my heavy 300's, but thinking of going back to a 330 to maximize what this bow can do.

Long draw

Awesome review! I bought the new nitrum turbo and have been playing with it a ton. i normally shoot the Carbon in a 34 because I have a 30.5 inch draw, but I wanted to try something new for a change.

I’m not sure its going to work out for me, maybe its because I have been using a 34 for so long and losing a half inch on my draw and going to a speed bow is throwing me off. Ill have to try a few more things. Any recommendations besides adding twists in the cables?

Try taking off the grip and shooting off the riser or with side plates, I always do that, just feels better for me, you will gain a about 3/8" in brace height and it may feel a tad better for you at full draw. Maybe a slightly longer dloop then you normally use if you haven't already done that?

i always pull the grip off my Hoyts. The wooden grip on my new carbon bow is only about 3/16" thick at the throat of the grip, and the older plastic ones are only about 1/8" thick. It will give you some extra brace height and functional draw length, but not that much.

Interesting read, but I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the reasoning for using the thinner draw stop peg versus the one supplied with the bow. Can you explain?

Simple answer, I get more of a desired cam synch with top cam more ahead and still have clean vertical nock travel.

Did it increase the length of the valley at all? I'm guessing it firmed up the back wall slightly also?

Yep, firmed up the backwall even more but very little change to valley. Eases the transition on the back end slightly as well.

Check with your local Hoyt dealer. If they do not have them in stock they can order it for you.
