Hoyt buffalo string

If you do use sbd's make sure to swap them out after the recommended date. Skinny strings are made for performance not longevity. I've had two sbd skinny strings break on me because I shoot them to long. This is in no way a bash on sbd's I love their strings. They perform very well and they do add several fps to arrow speed. I just caution against using them for too long

I played the skinny string game for a while, they are certainly great strings but I never really seen an immense increase in performance or quietness and certainly no increase in durability! I went back to standard strand count this year and don't think I'll change back anytime soon! Plus the wait time for a new string is substantially less!!!!!!! If you nick a few strands with your broadhead on a skinny string there isn't much left to hold it together, either type, you are done hunting but better chance of not damaging your bow with standard strand count. I just shoot strings now from Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear, they are my local shop and friends too and my bows shoot as good as ever!

I use 24 strands of BCY X with 0.021 serving on the loops (endless loop style string, not flemish)
