With this states long and illustrious history of voting in the worst possible people i’m fully expecting a Kotek win…

You make nothing, spend your professional life in rental aircraft that are generally in deplorable condition, and have to constantly stay on the lookout for ways your students will try to kill you. That is the lifestyle you get for your ~90K investment.

It's fun and rewarding teaching people to fly for sure. Truly, interacting with students is great and it's awesome to see them achieve their goals. But man, the return on investment is... small.

So flight instructors make way less than pilots I am assuming. Seems like flight instructors would or should be older pilots, looking to wind down.

Self employed contractor in Boulder, CO. I work from October through August with a few weeks off here and there in the late fall and winter to grocery shop with the boom stick. Taking those wealthy liberal's money and using it to buy guns and hunting stuff makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
