Howa Mini Rifles, Builds, and Upgrades

Anyone shooting 105 or 112 match burners in their 6 arc? I'm getting wicked speed with lever but bad accuracy (what a surprise), need to try something else!

I bought some of both to test in my 6 ARC and run in my 6CM once I burn up the Federal GMM I bought. I haven't rolled any yet since I still have a bunch of 103 ELDX 6 ARC and 105 Berger 6CM to shoot up before I'll work up some loads.

What are those loads? Like them?

Finally Finished mine (pretty much)

6mm arc cut to 11” Hoping to fling factory 108s at 2400, which should stay over 1800 fps to 400 yards- but I don't plan to shoot past 200.
Jefferson outdoors blind bottom metal
Leupold FX2.5
Talley LW rings
AB raptor 8

86oz (5lbs 6oz) suppressed

I considered going with a 16" barrel with a US OG, but It still would have been 3" longer, and 6 ounces heavier at the end (and $850 more expensive)

My mini shoots so well with the factory barrel but I do wish it was a heavier contour. I may have to look into this at some point.

The Elude is a sexy bit of kit.

Something different for those who remove the bolt for storage or travelling, check out the Bolt Buddy New Zealand.
I just received mine today and it's a nice bit of kit.

It decocks the bolt, has a strategic hole that fits a padlock, and protects the bolt if it's accidentally dropped on the ground.

Put this one together for my ol man. Found a Mini .22 ARC on the shelf at my local W TX gun store.
Had it cut/threaded to 16” and Cerakoted graphite black at the same time. Bedded it into a Stockys.
Adjusted the trigger all the way down, but still at 3+ lbs. Gun Bloke trigger spring inbound from Au.
Trying out the new 3-12 Burris FF. Not sure on reliability but a lot of features in a reasonably priced scope.
Held in place with DNZs. DIP bottom metal will get secured in place once I track down some mag release parts for the older style latch. Without Wolf Hunter or bipod in place came in at 5 lbs 15 oz full mag. Loaded up some 80 ELD X’s with 30.4 grains of Lever, touch hot but they shoot. Will most likely back em down to 30-30.1 gr powder.IMG_0454.jpeg

Just want to make sure before ordering Leupold Backcountry 1" medium ring mounts...
Do I need the 171098 (Rem 700) or the 171110 (Wby Mark V)?

I’ve not used leupold’s on a mini but on every mini and every vanguard/howa 700 bases fit.

I've used Talley LWs for a 700 on a Howa SA no problem.
Just didn't know if there was a better Backcountry option for the mini.

They suck dont do it. The overhang like crazy and the edges are sharp.

Especially dont do it if you top load a jeffersons as it messes up your thumb bad. I hate mine.

Appreciate the response.
This is why I was asking.
I do have JO bottom metal.
Do you have a picture?

I use a set of Talley Lightweights, I turned the rear base around and drilled/countersunk a new set set of holes so now it sits flush with the action opening.
Functionally and aesthetically it's a big improvement.

Could probably be done with the Leupold mounts as well

If you want the back country just grind them down. I have to do that on kimbers. It works great for me but the next person might say it’s stupid. To each their own. I’ll see if I can find a picture.

I use the Burris pic bases and a pic ring on mine fwiw.
