Would the consensus be that Varget is probably the best option to chase velocity with a temp stable powder? I need something as stable as possible cause I will hunt form 75-80 degrees in the early season to 10-20 degrees in the late season.

Stable and accurate but it won’t be fast. 2600-2650 FPS is a good velocity though.

I stopped at 30.5g under the 95’s in the AR I just didn’t trust the 6ARC bolt.

What OAL did you have the 108’s loaded in your mini?

Honestly I don’t know. My CBTO is 1.710 but didn’t measure my COAL.

Your more temp stable options include 8208 XBR, Benchmark, Varget and Stabal Match (edit and H4895).

Load up a mid load of whatever you have or can get, use a good thick primer and see what groups.

From my experience, lever groups leave a lot to be desired until you’re at or near or above listed Max loads.




I got 2800fps with 95tmk and lever in 16” barrel at 2.3” OAL. I was cratering primers. 2700-2750 all day no issues.

Youll get 2800 in a 20” barrel with lever no issue I’d think

Still looking here as well. Sierra told me mid-Jan. Maybe they’ll hit the shelves soon.

100gr tgk are hitting dealers, sierra told me the 95s were getting ran after that. I have several thousand on back order from a few vendors via my smiths dealer account.

No pics or videos but my 6 ARC Howa was on the money today.

I’ve been loading with TAC powder and 108 ELDMs. It’s slow at 2600 FPS but extremely accurate.

Got my barreled action today….carbon 20” unit is 3 pounds 8oz, 4 pounds 1 oz with my banish suppressor. The ad says it’s 1/2x28 threads but they are actually 5/8x24 - no biggy.

Can’t wait to get my stockys stock and the SWFA 3-9x42….
