how to upload photos

when I upload photos it does not show picture. Only a link that doesn't seem to work. I am using the upload photos button. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

When I upload photos it just says that they are pending when I look in my profile.

Ok.. figured out. I had to edit post and then choose attachment link instead of photo link.
