How much does a suppressor limit felt recoil vs a standard muzzle break?

I just had some first-hand experience with this.
I took delivery of a Seekins PH3 chambered in 7PRC.
First rifle I've ever owned that had a brake.
We shot factory ammo through the brake for a baseline on velocity then screwed on a Diligent Defense STi and shot the same ammo.
Obviously, muzzle blast was reduced with the suppressor but recoil was probably 30% higher than the brake.
I was surprised.

I'm curious what you expected? Had you shot suppressed before and just never braked?
