How many days have you spent in the mountains this year?

Forty...plus I like to hammer geese. When that isn't happening, I train my Labs for field trials. I swear life was less complicated fishing.

Utah muley hunt 9 days. Truck camped
Co elk hunt 12 days. Backpacked in 5.5 miles
Ne antelope hunt 11 days.
Ne, Mn whitetail hunting 28+ and counting.
Coyote season is just getting going. Did hunt last winter for ruffly 30 days.

5 days archery elk hunting in Wy. Was supposed to be 10 but both my buddy and I tagged out, so no complaining there!
I would say another 25 days hunting Whitetail, and that count is still going.

Every day out is a gift. Back in my guide days it seems it was 2/3 of the year. Now I that I've been working a real job and became a working stiff it's not enough time to enjoy it as much as I used to. It makes me enjoy it that much more when I get to spend a day out.

Oregon Roosevelt Archery Elk - 7 days / 6 nights backpacking
Idaho Archery Elk - 7 days / 6 nights backpacking
Montana Archery Elk - 10 days / 8 nights backpacking
Hopefully I can get out and do some elk preservation, i.e., wolf hunting later this year.
Several days afield fly fishing and camping, but can't quantify how many.

Moved from Portland back to my home state of Montana in late July due to a change of jobs which restricted my time outdoors this year. Hoping to get out much more next year.

I'm at around 45 days 26 nights. The overnighter's were backpacking with the family this summer, my early Sept. Elk hunt and several weekend fishing trips.

A lot of those days have been spent in the duck blind over the last few weeks, so outside..hunting, but not chasing hoofed quarry with a bow.

Well with a lot of thought it has been a good year. Started off on Kodiak for bears in may. Then more bear
Towards the end of July. Jumped up on the mountain to chase some goats in Alaska in Aug. A lil early deer hunting
In Sep here in Washington. Then hit the trailhead in Idaho for some elk mid September. Dropped into the
Bush with James Petker to put a tag on a great brown bear up in Alaska. End of October landed me back
On Kodiak to hunt deer and try to find a couple giant bears on the south end. Mid November I was back on the mountain
Chasing mule deer with my bow with good deer spotted but no luck! And now for the last 9 days of Dec I have been
Looking for that Damn Black tail buck! With all that I'm at around 88 hunting days and 30 or so scouting and
Conditioning days.
So a total of 118 days afield with around 75+ nights and counting.

Being a full-time student made it a bit tougher to hunt as much as I wanted, but I still got to do some fun stuff...

6 days with a bow trying to kill a bull...
2 days hunting with a friend with a rifle, looking for a big bull...
4 days filling my own muley tag....
3 days hunting with other friends with their bull and muley tags...
2 days pheasant hunting... (so far).
2 days looking for a late season cow (so far).
and about 6 days shooting rock chucks through the summer. Winter break is here at last, and it's time to work and kill a late season cow for the freezer. Next season I'll spend about 6 days scouting the high-country looking for a velvet mulie and then hopefully 2-3 overnighters trying to kill one, plus a bull with arrows. Yeehaw!
