Two.
10x42 for elk and deer
8x42 for deer

I have two backpack setups: one for the treestand and one for the saddle. I switch back and forth between the two so often during deer season that it’s just easier to have two complete “grab and go” setups. So, two setups = two binos.

I always overthink everything, I just leave it at 10x42 NL’s and make it work for all my hunts. Not to say there isn’t a time and a place for 8’s 12’s and 15’s I just couldn’t afford that many green nocs. I do find myself renting 15 SLC’s just about every other year for mule deer though.

12x50s and 8x32s

Both Meostar HDs, no desire to add anything else to the bino stable. 12s are the best all around western hunting power hands down, and the 8s are perfect for thicker country or when I want a super wide FOV during scouting season.

For archery I've got some Leica 8x42, but I'm expecting that they will be replaced by the new Leica Geovid Pro 8x32 that I have on order. For rifle I have some Leica Geovid 10x42. I have a couple other sets that are dust collectors...

Swarovski NL 10x32 as my primary bino.

Binoculars
* Swarovski SLC 10s
* Swarovski SLC 15s

Spotting Scopes
* Kowa 554
* Swarovski STX 65/95

I'll take whatever combination makes the most sense for any given hunt.

I currently own 4 and bought them in this order.
1. First Gen 8x32 Swaro EL
2. First Gen 10x32 Swaro EL
3. Swaro 15x56 SLC HD
4. Swaro 12x42 NL Pure

My 8x32 have been my absolute favorite pair of binos I've ever owned. They are just a joy to look through and are super nice to carry all day. I love these for predator hunting and general wildlife viewing.

The 10x32 aren't quite as enjoyable to look through despite the fact I can see more details with them. They are my loaner/backup set and my kids get to use them as well.

The 15x56 are the easy button for long range glassing. Super comfortable to look through for hours on end when placed on a tripod. Big sweet spot for viewing and just a fantastic bino for stationary long term glassing.

The 12x42 NL Pure was the only bino I used during the seasons last fall to get a lot of time with it. The image is stunning but it suffers from blackouts easily. The more I used them the less it happened (or the less I noticed it) but comparing them to 10x42 NL Pure the 10x are much easier to stay behind; the image in the 12x is seriously nothing short of amazing and if you can deal with the blackouts they're incredible.

At this time I plan on using the 12x42 NL Pure for most of my hunting with the 8x32 coming along on predator hunts. The 15x will be used from the truck, especially when my kids are with me, and the 10x32 will just be a rock solid backup and loaner set.

Swaro SLC 10x42 - Most everything
Swaro EL 8x32 - Archery whitetail, archery elk
Maven B3 8x30 - Truck
Kowa YF 6x30 - Two pairs for the kids.
Swaro ATX 65

I'd like to add 15x56 SLCs, a pair of NLs (not sure which power), and a 95 mm for the ATX.
The 10x42 SLCs are the gateway drug.

The first of twelve steps is to admit I’m a binoholic. My addiction is justified by different uses for different hobbies… that’s what I tell myself.

Hunting, boating, photography, hiking, looking at the view from the house.

And I’m always looking for an excuse to get more!

LOL. In the last year I have owned 8x, 10x, 12x, and 15x Meostar. Wife is starting to chicken eye me about it. Only have two at a time 😀

I actually had the opposite experience with NL's. Initially I bought 10x, but I would get a ton of black outs and even though I loved the image and FOV, I sold them to keep my 8.5x42 EL's. Then to scratch a mental itch I bought the 12x and I have had no issues with them at all. By far the best binos i've ever owned.

Damn some of you have sweet glass collection. For now i'm rocking:

Sightron 8x32 - truck/kid binos (freakin sweet glass for $100)
Diamondback 10x42 - kid drag thru mud binos
Zeiss Victor HT 10x42 - Archery
Swaro EL 12x50 - go-to everyday binos
Optolyth Royal 15x63 - cool binos but don't use much
Kowa 30x66 dual spotters - for extreme long range scouting and finding critters; probably my favorite thing I own
Kowa 884 spotter with 1.6x extender

That's super interesting. Everyone I've put behind my 12x gets blackouts but they all love the image as well. The 10x NL I played with we're like putting on HD magnified contacts. Everything was just easy.
