I have zero. I have helped with two and screwed up on several more.

My personal biggest "almost" I believe to have been about 320."

I’ve killed 10 plus 300 inch bulls. My biggest officially scores 368” gross 362” net. Also killed a 330” class 5 point which is a really neat bull I think. I think 300” is a heck of a bull especially in Colorado. I doubt I can top 362.
Love the monster 5!!! 10 is an amazing achievement

So this area has greay genetically, I think he just shrunk and developed mass as a senior citizen. You can tell in the picture buy the mass was incredible, baseball bat diameter throughout the whole rack.

I saw one about four years ago, we were on a cow only hunt. It was a simply amazing bull. He was no more than 80 yards away.

There was a podcast from eastmans recently I listened to last night. A guy started elk hunting 10 years ago. Killed 7 bulls in the last 8 years 375” or bigger.

I used to see a lot of 300+ bulls in the 60s and early 70s but I haven't seen anything close for at least 12-15 years. They just don't live that long.
This is so true. Seeing a 300” bull is not an every year occurrence. In the past 10 years I’ve only seen a handful. I did see one last year that was well over 350” at 50 yards. Talk about wanting to crap your pants and cry all in a 3 second span. Stupid cows always mess up a good time.

I’ve killed 6 bulls and 5 of those were over 300.

2 from CO, 1 from NM, 1 from AZ, and 1 from NV…

Hunted nw MT with a mentor who taught me how to elk hunt 2015-17. No 300”ers but packed a couple out for others. Hunted on my own with MT and WY general tags in ‘18 and shot low 300” bulls on both tags. Got a little cocky about all the nice bills I was gonna shoot in the coming years after that and haven’t shot a 300”er since.

I was able to put a stalk on a 340” bull on my muzzleloader hunt last year. We dropped the distance from 700 yards down to 250. The wind changed and the 30 cows that were bedded on the hillside got up and he followed them never to be seen again. It was a rush, but man I wanted that bull.
