Great fronts and mass carried through, I think sometimes older bulls either don’t have the genes or they regress and put more antler up front

Great thread.

Zero for me, one bull a 5x5 at 286 with a broken left beam tip. Unbroken he looks to have been a 5x6 having lost about 10 inches.

Out of the dozens I've killed, only one. Several in the 285+ range. I've called in a couple bulls over 300 for friends that got killed.

Last year I killed a bull, only to have a large 300ish 6x6 walk out and stand there for 10 minutes...

So this area has greay genetically, I think he just shrunk and developed mass as a senior citizen. You can tell in the picture buy the mass was incredible, baseball bat diameter throughout the whole rack.

Interesting so far

I thought the zero 300+ inch bulls was going to closer to 80 percent, and 1 bull would be around 10 percent.

I’ve killed 10 plus 300 inch bulls. My biggest officially scores 368” gross 362” net. Also killed a 330” class 5 point which is a really neat bull I think. I think 300” is a heck of a bull especially in Colorado. I doubt I can top 362.

I have shot one bull over 300 and it was a draw hunt.

I am glad to hear realistic comments. It drives me crazy when people act like a 300 inch bull is around every corner. Just remember, if the bull is 300" on Instagram, he is 275" on the tape measure.

I have 1 archery kill and it was a 368” bull. I have killed 8-10 bulls with a rifle, they are all under 300”. I agree, the 300” mark is way harder to hit than people think.

My archery bull was a draw tag, all my rifle bulls are general unit.

Not one. My biggest is 270 and I killed him when I was 14 with my bow and hunting by myself. Killed lots of cows and rag horns. I’m just not very picky. When I killed that one at 14 my dad had to come look for me because I wasn’t at the truck at the right time. He was pissed until I told him I shot a bull. That was 1991. What’s even crazier is that I was shooting 75 lbs and with fingers.
