How does everyone pack there Leuko tape?

Like others I cut strips of wax paper (no issues so far getting it off any of the wax paper I have used) and then just roll those up on themselves. Much better than rolling it on to itself and fighting to get it back off.

I use backing from larger decals. Then cut em to size and store in a small zip lock.

I wrap it on my trekking pole and I’ve had it on there for a couple years and still works. When you peel it off it won’t feel super sticky but once I apply it to dry skin it somehow seems to come back to life. I’ve done this several times and then had those pieces stay glued to my skin for days.

I carry two mini Bic lighters for redundancy. The one in my pack has duct tape around it. The one in my bino harness has the Leuko tape so I can get to it quicker when hiking. Also I keep about 2 feet of electrical tape wrapped around a tripod leg.

I don’t pack it in, I tape up my feet at the trailhead and leave the roll at base camp or in the truck.

That stuff stays on for over a week.

I have not had good luck putting it on a lighter or something and then having it stick afterwards.

I quickly realized that stopping after hiking for an hour when you are hot and sweaty and starting to feel a blister forming, is way too late and not as effective as just putting it on your dry feet in the first place.

That said if you were going into Alaska or something super far where you weren’t able to resupply after a few days, sure pack it in,
