Looking for a lightweight pack able stove option for my Peax solitude tipi. Seems a lot of people say good about the Argali one but wanting to hear opinions on that vs others and which is best? Seems people usually say the way they assemble makes a difference. Also wanting the max amount of burn time. Any info helps!

I like the Winnerwell fast fold. Super easy to assemble. There may be others with that design also, not sure.

I don’t have a lot of experience but the longer burn time likely means larger stove box. I settled on the argali stove due to the stove size being a little bigger. Just figured more wood would burn longer

I have the Lite Outdoors barrel stoves, 8"x12" and 8"x 18"

Not gonna lie, they are a PITA to assemble.

the 12" is nice when you need some heat, like around freezing for comfort.

Get the 18" for really cold. They both burn longer with the internal baffle and damp down good. The 18" will almost burn all night with 2" and bigger wood damped down.

The barrel shape makes the embers naturally settle to the center vs a flat bottom.

I have the 18" lite outdoors cylinder as well. It is a pain to assemble but packs down pretty small and really burns well.

You already have the peax tipi. Look into the peax stove, it assembles very easily. Really well thought out
