Horse Packing Service North of Durango Unit 74?

My wife and I will be hunting 2nd rifle North of Durango CO in Unit 74. We are in good shape but in our 50's and I might want some help packing out if we get one on the ground. Anyone know of someone in this area we can contract with horsses if we are succesful. I did an internet search and its not real clear who might be able to work in this area.

There's tons of outfitters in that unit. I've heard that some of them will only charge you 1 way if they're up there already with horses. Might want to call the local parks and wildlife office and get a list of outfitter permits and try calling a few of them.

You may start with this list. I would call all the ones permitted for unit 74.

Archery Unlimited Outfitters has camps in the Lime Creek area so they may be there already if thats the area you are planning on hunting.

I also know Travis and Maggie with Western Sky Outfitters and they are good people...just not sure he is available.
