Hornady releasing 223 and 243 WSSM

Because a creedmoor doesn't fit in an AR15 or mini sized action.
The wssm case holds 2gr more than lapua and alpha creedmoor brass, so why? Plus the very short fat body with short bullets made them horribly reliable for feeding consistently. Hard pass.........

Just seen my email that they are making ammo again. Haven’t seen the prices yet. Just sent my browning in for threading. Hopefully they will sell empty reloading brass as well. Never liked the nickel brass that they originally came out with.

Interesting as I have been doing load development on a Winchester Model 70 in 223 WSSM. I am currently loading 55Gr Nosler Ballistic tips at about 3680FPS out of my 22" barrel and the groups seem okay. However I would like some Factory ammo to try just to see how it reacts. I am also pretty sure the gun is twisted at 1/10 so not good for any super long heavies. Mine is a single feed so no feeding issues.

People say that about sherman shortmags but I have never had a failure to feed in 500ish rounds

Same with several BR cases in friend's rifles after using a spacer plate

Good mag and smart tweaking it's a nonissue with this 223 wssm I bet

Shot my first mule deer buck with 243 wssm. Love that gun. It’s now my wife’s deer gun. Tac drive for sure. Will most likely be what the kinds use for first hunt’s. Randomly found brass in an Ace hardware couple years ago. Bought all they had!
