Here in the southeast hogs are considered small game/ vermin so I think this will be ok in the small game forum.

Anyone hunt hogs? Share some hog kill pics! My boy got this one a couple years ago!

I'm hunting them in Florida. Old growth swamp, its unreal just how much fun they are to chase! It's a new kind of hunting for me, new terrain, never hunted swamp, new methods, never hunted night time. The initial investment was nominal, I already had hunting gear, but the means and methods are a dramatic change from anything else I've ever done.

I've hunted them with hounds on horseback with some friends down in South Carolina. Absolutely LOVE it. Darn tasty as well. If I lived down there, I would get my own pack and spend my weekends hunting hogs

I'm looking for pictures of my hogs, can't find them. Don't think I killed anything the size of your son's though.

Too many to even care about taking a pic
We are so infested with these things and have been crippled by our lease agent by not allowing us to use bait in our traps
Now we’re relegated to shooting them one at a time which in the end is useless when trying to thin their numbers

Headed down to the family place end of Feb for our annual hog hunt.
Been going down since about mid 90's to hunt them.
Still enjoy hunting them and getting some pork for the freezer.
Their numbers have fluctuated somewhat last few years but they stopped allowing feeding them after deer season so on a down swing right now, still plenty around.
Might run a trap or 2 and do some night hunting with the FLIR.

We go to georgia once a year and hunt them, lots of fun, we got into the thermal game and it's fun to hunt them at night also.

Not in your part of the country. Here in Ca. especial central Ca. pigs are a problem for the farmers, but they allow guides to hunt their ranches for a fee. Being most of that property is private finding public land to hunt them is equivalent to unicorn hunting.

There are some spots in California. It's all timing, though. 90% of the hogs in California are on private ground.

Everyone of those are real good looking hogs. Not a one I wouldn't shoot.
