No experience with pigs, but have killed several whitetails. Build/buy a dedicated upper and you should be fine.

Avoid subsonic. It will not expand and are still loud enough that it spooks them. You MUST ask head shots with a subsonic load or you won’t recover the animal.

Agreed. I would use them maybe for home defense, never for hunting.
