Solo Texas hog stalking with 6mm arc

Avoid subsonic. It will not expand and are still loud enough that it spooks them. You MUST ask head shots with a subsonic load or you won’t recover the animal.
Agreed. I would use them maybe for home defense, never for hunting.

Do you know anyone who uses a 350 legend upper? Ammo is cheap and all my shots will be under 100 yards. Plus there are 300 grain subsonic options. I hear they jam a lot, but I think a lot of people try and just swap the barrel. I would get a dedicated complete upper. From what I have read the jamming is a common issue with that strait wall cartridge.

No. I have a friend with one in a 16” bolt gun but he seems pretty underwhelmed by it with factory options. Unless your shots are always going to be 75yds and in I’m not a huge fan of night hunting pigs with subs. They drop like a rock and you need to precisely know your range which is hard at night. If I do one for night hunting pigs Il run a 16” bolt gun with 125gr solids around 2800-2900fps. Much less drop and will still penetrate leaving a blood trail.
As far as running one in an ar15 platform I haven’t done it but don’t think it would be a problem and could be reliable with a few mods to the mags and feed ramp.

No experience with the 6ARC, but have done similar with my 6.5 Grendel on many occasions. Inside 100 yards, that Grendel is great on hogs.

Well, OP, how's the 6 ARC project going? Hopefully you've got some dead critter pics now.
The 6arc is the perfect 1 gun for Texas hogs and deer imo. The 103 ELDX has handled both very well. I got 2614fps out of the 16in CMMG upper.
