The dvd came in the mail today and since it was so oppressively hot here I decided to relax this evening and enjoy in the nice cool basement and give it a watch.
I’m impressed.
High Country Brown Bears is not an overproduced outdoor channel advertisement. It was an honest portrayal of a spring bear season on the Alaska Peninsula. All the good with the bad, the struggles, and the waiting. There is some great big bear footage, great tips, and some good philosophy thrown in as well.
One thing I especially appreciated was looking back at the stalking route and going over WHY things were done the way they were.
Billy, I do have one question; how did you pick THAT valley out of all the places in your area to hunt? You mentioned it was the first time you hunted that area. Obviously you picked well!
The directors cut at the end was priceless.
Really good job and a great resource for anyone dreaming about a brown bear hunt.
