Here I thought Ryan Lamper was one of the good guys for the hunting world…

Oofh. That was a well written summary from GearJunkie. I appreciate that they don't seem to pull punches when hunting celebrities are involved.

That’s the unit I hunt and have hunted for 20 plus years…I saw the Lemhi county judge throw a guy in jail for 10 days who illegally killed/wasted a doe and suspended privileges for two years.

If found guilty - hopefully the hammer falls…

Bet that fool is walking around with a buzz cut and a clean shaved face these days.
You mean so no one recognizes him, or because it’s better to be well groomed when you’re interviewing for jobs seeing as how he just ended his career as an influencer?

One of the only guys I liked in that group. This one came as a shock. If he did commit the crimes… I’ll just stop myself there.

I’m sure he will continue “influencing” just like others have/are still doing.

What did Duwayne do? I know the G&F was after him hard at one point.
Baiting. Very long solid investigation with lots of proof. It was not a one time isolated incident. It cost the department a pretty penny to investigate and prosecute. He lost in civil court as well as with the commission.

It’s not even over yet. They are still investigating some things from the past. He may have his rights yanked for an even longer period of time. The commission showed much interest in pursuing the possible past violations and you know they’ll nail him again if the dept comes back with proof.

I agree. I actually enjoyed Lampers, he samed to be more of the thought process of 'we're here to hunt, not bs'.

These charges aren't light. So it sucks. It is kinda hilarious how he made a burner account to sale his things. Which also doesnt make him to appear innocent. So who knows. We won't for certain until the court case.

To be fair to the mods. The other thread was locked due to it not even having anything be related to Lampers. Not like I helped derail it... but, it wasn't productive.

Not defending, but to be fair all the charges could be explained by him honestly thinking he was in unit 28 instead of 21. 28 and 21 border each other. Reduced lion tags are even good in a lot of 21. 28 was legally open for all the species (reduced mountain lion would have to be in wilderness only).

Now it makes no sense how he could make that mistake, especially if you are familiar with those unit boundaries. Makes me think it was likely a deliberate act of deception, but nonetheless, it is possibly an honest mistake of unit boundaries.

Don’t really have a dog in the fight, so crucify him if you want, the story didn’t really accurately tell the facts unless you actually know the area and the associated seasons.
