Those with a Henderson timer, do you trim before or after sizing? Seems like before sizing could induce some run out, but after sizing leads to a really tight fit.
Trimming after sizing makes it tight around the pilot. But I expanded with a mandrel and it worked fine.Trim after sizing as sizing can change case length. I don’t understand why you think trimming makes for a “tight fit”.
Sizing will impact the case length so trim after you size.
looks like in this case sizing added .002”
Ended up doing this tonight, worked wellI size first, but then use a mandrel to set the neck tension to 0.002 or 0.003 depending on the cartridge. I also apply dry lube to the inside of the necks. Fit is snug, but not enough to induce runout or heat.
