-Archery bull
-Private property preferred
-House/Bunkhouse type living quarters preferred
-$6000 max
-newer elk hunter, coming from the Midwest
-Prefers Colorado or Wyoming
-no preference points
-2023 hunt

Anybody have any experience with an outfitter they’d recommend? I’ve never done the guided deal, but I think I asked all the right questions.

Based on points Wyoming is out for 2023. He’d only have 1 point. Instead add Montana to your options since outfitted hunters get license preference.

No tellum guide service, walker Powell. I've worked side by side with him and his dad. Great people and very talented. Otc in Oregon.

High Desert Hunting Company out of Aguilar , CO. They have a house you stay in. One on one. Private land.
They have many different leases. www.cotrophydeer.com. They guide Elk, Deer, Antelope, Mtn Lion. Guides are all young hard working guys. Right in your price range and I have been there 5 times with friends all successful. Contact Sean Zele or Luke Robb.

Some Wyoming options were guaranteed with 0 points last year in the special, so I certainly wouldn't rule it out. I'd be looking at the elk mountain area.

He needs to put in for a CO point this year so that he has a point already in 2023. If you are serious and have 3-4 hunters total, I can arrange for private/public guided in 67 with fantastic accommodations and good chances at bulls.
