I was positive I would draw my first choice rifle bear unit in CO with 3 points that I didn't really spend much time thinking about alternatives.
Well, I drew 2nd choice. It's a unit I've never been in before, though I've hunted adjacent units to the W and NW of it in the past.
I'm planning a long weekend scouting trip in early August, and then getting into the thick of it during rifle bear in Sep. I've got another kiddo on the way in Nov, so I've put all my eggs in this early hunt basket for this year.
If anyone is willing to help with some pointers via PM, I'd love to go in with a little more knowledge of the unit and altitudes/terrain I should be focusing on for September rifle. In the spirit of not listing the number for future searches, It's Colorado Unit #:
